COVID Policy & Procedure
Valley City Youth Football, Inc., aka Valley City Thunder Football Program will follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC and locally with City-County Health.
As of August 19, 2022 the following guidelines are:
1). Positive COVID Test:
If a player or coach tests positive for COVID, the person must isolate for 5 days from the start of symptoms or a positive Covid test. After the 5 days of isolation, the person can be out of isolation, but must wear a mask for another 5 days. The person should also monitor their symptoms.
2). Close Contact to Person Who Tested Positive:
If a player or coach is a close contact to someone who tested positive for Covid, the person must mask for 10 days. In addition, the person should be tested after day 5 of exposure and continue with wearing the mask until day 10, even if they test negative.
If symptoms occur, continue testing daily to determine if the person is positive. If the person becomes positive, then the 5 days of isolation and 5 days of masking is recommended.
Testing can be done via home test kits, City-County Health or through your healthcare provider.
